This team is made up of graduates and technicians in business administration who are responsible for the internal administration required by the Association’s activities, including preparing the Association’s accounts and budget in collaboration with the Secretary General.

Quality and environment

The Quality and Environment Department advises and raises awareness among companies on environmental issues, also serving as a documentation and dissemination centre for new legislation in this area.

 

Se asesora también sobre los trámites y requisitos necesarios para la obtención de autorizaciones ambientales, inscripciones en el registro de productores y gestores de residuos de Galicia, recogida y transporte de residuos, etc.

FOREIGN TRADE AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Asime provides flexible and personalised advice to member companies throughout the internationalisation process. To this end, this department is responsible for preparing reports on foreign markets of interest and organising group participation in national and international trade fairs and commercial visits to target countries.

 

Además, este departamento realiza con frecuencia jornadas donde se tratan asuntos relacionados con el comercio exterior y se trata de servir de punto de encuentro para que las industrias del metal elaboren estrategias conjuntas de acceso a cada vez más países.

Purchasing and Procurement

Joint negotiations are used to seek competitive benefits for members in the following areas:

 

– Insurance premiums
– Energy purchases
– Fuels
– Other supplies

 

The negotiations held for the electricity supply of our members in 2010 were the first initiative of this kind, and since then we have achieved significant savings and advantages in other types of supplies.

Communication and Public Relations

Asime seeks fluid and effective communication between the Association and its members. To this end, it sends out informative circulars, a press release and daily newsletters, and also offers advice to companies on media relations, advertising campaigns and image.

 

This department is also responsible for promoting the Association among the general public and other entities of interest by publicising its activities on its website and social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube), in the Association’s annual report and in other graphic materials and publications.

 

At the same time, public relations activities are carried out with different institutions and organisations, and careful press work is done, maintaining fluid and constant relations with the media.

career guidance, training and employment

Asime seeks to promote job placement in an industry with enormous growth prospects, while also promoting the training and specialisation of workers to meet the needs of a sector that often suffers from a lack of qualified personnel.

 

Asime is a collaborating centre of the Galician Public Employment Service and has a job bank that helps its member companies meet their staffing needs.

 

Likewise, through its Integrated Employment Programme, Asime offers specific training and job integration for unemployed people and vulnerable groups.

 

Its training programme provides quality training to active and unemployed workers in the Galician metal sector, enabling them to meet the productivity and competitiveness needs of companies, while enhancing their own employability.

 

To meet the specific needs of the professionals who lead and manage companies in the sector, Asime also offers specific training to executives and middle managers in the industrial sector through the IDE Asime Industrial Development Institute.

Asime has a Legal Department specialising in Labour and Commercial Law, and provides support in Tax, Civil, Criminal, Social Security, Environmental and International Trade Law, in addition to its own staff, through the support and collaboration of external law firms.

 

Special mention should be made of the work carried out by this Department in the negotiation, interpretation and advice regarding the different Collective Agreements applicable in the metal sector in Galicia, playing an active role in the drafting of the Agreement for the province of Pontevedra. All this is possible thanks to constant contact with other social agents.

 

Likewise, the Legal Department provides timely information on legislative developments affecting the company’s ordinary activities through conferences and events, and periodically publishes salary updates, work calendars and other developments of relevance to companies.

Occupational health and safety

This department, made up of senior occupational risk prevention technicians who are experts in the metal sector, offers members individualised advice on issues related to occupational safety.

 

It provides personalised attention to member companies, answering specific questions about the company’s preventive management system and offering regulatory advice.

 

In addition, it serves as a documentation centre for all these regulations and carries out various activities aimed at implementing the numerous legal requirements.

 

Specific ORP training also provides the necessary basis for carrying out work in different sectors and with regard to companies’ needs in terms of approvals.

In addition to assisting and advising members on information and communication technologies as a means of improving their competitiveness, this department provides services such as:


– Maintenance of a comprehensive database of the entire Galician metallurgical industry, with detailed information on members’ products and services to facilitate their marketing.
– Advice on enabling technologies.
– Maintenance of the Association’s website, ensuring that the information available on it is constantly updated.
– Responding to members’ queries on topics such as contracting service providers, domain registration, email management, the latest web technologies, etc.
– Management of the internal interconnection of ASIME staff.

Asime provides our member companies with a department specialising in daily communication with the sector, whose objective is to address their demands and concerns. Through direct and continuous contact, we seek to understand their reality and needs in order to channel responses appropriately through the relevant departments.

 

The team works to strengthen communication with companies and strategic partners, ensuring agile and effective service. In addition, this department manages the commercial work related to the Mindtech fair, contributing to its success and growth within the sector.
