The main role of Asime is to defend the corporate and individual interests of its members through its different departments of health and safety at work, legal, quality and environment, foreign trade, training, guidance and employment, information technology and communications, etc.
The Galician metal sector employs over 57,000 people and represents 20% of Galicia’s GDP

Our mission
The aims of ASIME are the management, defence and coordination of the common interests of its members. To this end, the Association has powers and acts in the following areas:
Relationship with the Administration and Official Bodies and representation of the associates.
Promotion of cooperation and fair coexistence among the businesspeople of the sector.
Defending the interests of the members at a professional, economic, technological and commercial level, having the capacity of promoting and creating institutions with commercial, industrial and technical purposes.
Intervention and participation in collective bargaining at sectorial level and in the field of labour relations.
Advice on labour, environmental, occupational risk prevention and other areas of interest to member companies.
Promotion of actions for the prevention of occupational risks and health at work, quality, the environment, corporate social responsibility and other relevant areas.
Promotion, encouragement and execution of actions in the field of foreign trade that contribute to the international expansion of the Galician metal sector.
Collaboration in R+D+i and competitiveness projects carried out both by the Association itself and by other entities.
Documentation centre for associates and generation of statistical data and/or studies that are of interest to the sector.
Other actions considered necessary for the fulfilment of the aims of the Association and the defence of the legitimate interests of its members.
