At Asime we offer our member companies a professional projects and innovation department, which aims to promote, advise, encourage, prepare and present proposals, especially those related to the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies and innovative solutions that help companies to be more competitive in the market.
In its commitment to innovation and digitisation, Asime’s projects department has helped to mobilise European recovery funds through strategic projects, in close collaboration with companies in the sector, while promoting the digitisation and competitiveness of its member companies through various initiatives at regional, national and European level.
Asime, as a metal cluster and Innovative Business Grouping (AEI), is thus consolidating its position as a centralised point for channelling ideas and initiatives in key areas such as renewable energies, future technologies and automation for industrial progress.
For partner companies in calls related to the implementation of 4.0 technologies and innovations that strengthen their competitiveness. The projects, either individually or in collaboration, can be financed with public, national or European funds.
Project management support for member companies in need of technical assistance.
Monitoring, evaluation, communication and assistance in auditing projects of associated companies that require this support.
We make a daily study of all funding opportunities and public subsidies, with an immediate, summarised and specific report to partners specifying the steps to follow in order to benefit from these grants.
Asime is a member of the PIDI network. As a CDTI development and innovation information point, it contributes to promoting innovation and technological development in Galicia.
Asime has multiple projects underway, either as a leader or as a partner in international consortia, to drive innovation in the metal sector and its associated technologies.
Asime is leading the Interreg Poctep Aowinde project, which involves nine partners from Galicia and Northern Portugal in order to boost the offshore wind value chain in the Galicia-Northern Portugal Euroregion. We will accelerate the development and relevance of offshore wind energy through public-private cooperation and the implementation of tools to support the cross-border offshore wind value chain. We will also attract new actors to the territory, provide specialised training and actively promote offshore wind energy as a sustainable energy source.
Asime is part of the European project FLORES, which involves a total of 15 partners from 8 countries to promote a ‘Vision for the Future in Marine Renewable Energies’. Tools and activities will be developed to enhance capacity building in the sector. It will thus contribute to the European Skills Pact, supporting the large-scale consortium promoting capacity building in the marine renewable energy sector.
Asime participates in the AFID project, which develops a system for the automatic inspection of the interior conformity of automobiles using drones piloted with programmed trajectories on the production lines of original equipment manufacturers. Project CPP2021-008513, funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union-NextGenerationEU/PRTR.
Asime, as a cluster of the metal sector and associated technologies, together with other partners in Spain, is promoting a new project that will strengthen the competitiveness of our country in advanced and sustainable technologies. ECO-AERO will promote innovation among actors in the aerospace sector, integrating technologies such as additive manufacturing, applied artificial intelligence and robotics in smart manufacturing, in order to position Spain at the forefront of aerospace technology.
Asime participates in the Bahía H2 Offshore project promoted by the Supercluster Atlantic Wind (SAW), together with several partners from Cantabria and Asturias. The project will develop and build an offshore pilot plant for the production of green ammonia synthesised from green hydrogen produced by marine renewable energies.
Asime, with funding from IGAPE, is organising workshops on advanced digitalisation and sustainability for the metal sector, presenting itself as a critical opportunity for companies in the sector to make a qualitative leap in their evolution in these two areas. The main objective of the workshops is to create meeting spaces for companies to explore solutions and ways of collaboration in the field of digitisation and sustainability.
Asime is playing a key role in the promotion and dynamisation of the industrial sector, especially in the metal sector and its associated technologies, through a series of actions aimed at facilitating companies’ access to different lines of financing and strategic calls for proposals. These initiatives include:
Asime promotes the participation of its associates in these calls, designed to encourage collaboration between companies and entities in the industrial sector with the aim of promoting innovative projects and improving competitiveness.
The association works so that companies in the sector can be integrated into the Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) promoted by the Spanish Government, such as the naval, circular economy, electric and connected vehicles, or aerospace.
Asime encourages companies to take advantage of IGAPE grants for digitalisation. These subsidies aim to modernise processes, implement 4.0 technologies and optimise the value chain through digital tools.
The association provides support in the identification and processing of aid for investment in new business projects, the acquisition of machinery, the improvement of facilities or the development of technological capabilities.
Asime facilitates access to these grants aimed at financing innovation, technological development and R&D&I projects. It provides support in the presentation of proposals and the management of funds.
Asime is a driving member of the cross-border Digital Innovation Hub of the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion. An initiative that has more than 15 partners from both countries and has received the Seal of Excellence from the European Commission, being a member of the European network of hubs (EDIH).
INFAB HUB offers specialised support in four value chains: Automotive, Metalworking and Transport, Aerospace, Naval-Maritime and Textile-Fashion.
At Asime we have been promoting the sector for more than 40 years through regional, national and European projects. Here you can see a summary of the most outstanding projects that have already been completed.
Asime participated in the IN 4.0 project, to improve the competitiveness of naval companies by adapting them to the Industry 4.0 production model. Through diagnosis, maturity level, training and innovative strategies.
Asime carried out the Tecnolóxicas programme, a programme that seeks to reduce the gender gap in the technological-industrial sector through a programme for women technologists offering free training and mentoring, paid contracts in companies and the dissemination of inspiring stories and references.
Asime participated in the Mates project, a programme that aims to increase capacity building and training in the area of maritime technologies, targeting the shipbuilding and marine renewable energy sectors.
Asime signed a collaboration agreement with the Xunta de Galicia to promote actions to boost the offshore wind industry value chain in Galicia. The actions included the organisation of industrial meetings, workshops, the implementation of a digital platform, audiovisual production and mapping and the creation of a bilingual catalogue to present this industry in Spain and abroad.
