Quality training for active workers in the Galician metal sector, so that they can respond to the productivity and competitiveness needs of companies, while enhancing their own employability. 100% subsidised training programmes, in collaboration with different public administrations, in areas that are booming in the sector, with which transversal and specific competences for the entire metal industry and its associated technologies are enhanced. We also offer programmed and specific training actions for each company.

Asime is a beneficiary of the training programme for the qualification and requalification of the active population, linked primarily to professional qualifications in strategic sectors, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. This project offers a training plan aimed at both unemployed and employed workers in companies in the industrial and technological field, linked or associated with Asime.
Asime promotes, together with Lidera Knowledge, this EOI project, with the aim of providing training on Digital Transformation for Agents of Change. These actions are part of the ‘Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Funded by the European Union – Next GenerationEU’. The project is divided into two programmes. One on Agents of Change, oriented 30% to employed people, to develop training programmes for experts in digital transformation. The other is aimed at leaders and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises who want to drive digital transformation in their organisations.
Asime is an accredited center by the Metal Training Foundation (FMF) to provide mandatory ORP training for all workers in the metal sector. Programs subsidized by the State Foundation for Employment (Fundae), with recurring calls every month.
From our employment guidance and employment service, we promote the training of unemployed people and vulnerable groups, so that they can access professional opportunities in the metal sector.
Asime’s Integrated Employment Programme offers training, guidance and personalised labour intermediation in the areas of Vigo and Narón. It is an initiative subsidised by the Regional Ministry of Employment and Equality and the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, and has allowed Asime to train and guide more than 350 people in the last three years, achieving an average job placement rate of over 50%, through internships that, on many occasions, have resulted in employment contracts. In total, an average of 20 courses and 446 guidance sessions are given each year, including the management of 100 personalised job applications and constant support at training and employment level, with collaboration agreements and internships in more than 60 different companies.
Asime participates in the Empregal initiative promoted by the Xunta de Galicia, which has 1.5 million euros of European EGF funds. This programme aims to reintegrate up to 300 people who lost their jobs due to the closure of the aluminium company Alu Ibérica, as well as companies that supply or transform Alu Ibérica’s products between November 2021 and March 2023.
The programme offers them assistance in job search, professional retraining, promotion of entrepreneurship and motivation of vulnerable groups due to disability or age.
Asime coordinates the Programa de Apoio a Mulleres do Ámbito Rural e Urbano, an initiative promoted in collaboration with the Consellería de Promoción do Emprego e Igualdade and the Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional, with European funds NextGenerationEU.
The programme trains and provides employment guidance to 100 unemployed women from rural and urban areas in different towns in the provinces of Pontevedra, Ourense and A Coruña. Complemented with internships in companies and an extensive catalogue of courses, the aim is to improve the employability and employability of women in green and digital jobs.

IDE Asime, The Industrial Development Institute, responds to the specific needs of professionals who lead and manage companies in the sector. IDE Asime offers specific training for managers and middle managers in the industrial sector, with executive and business programmes in top management, digital business, LEAN manufacturing, Big Data, coaching and customised training programmes for companies.
